Looking "Good"?

"Dylan, you are looking so good!!!"

I have lost count of how many people have said that to me since I've been back home since Spring break and the last time many of these people saw me was Christmas.

I personally have not noticed any changes in physical appearance since my diagnosis, so I have started asking people "Well, how have I changed?"

They report:
-I had big black circles/bags under my eyes
-My face had completely lost color
-I looked frail and thin
-There was great evidence I had lost a significant amount of weight
-There was a droop to my smile
-There was a sag to my walk

I had no idea.

Good grief. I must have looked like the living dead if it was that bad.

But now, people say the bags under my eyes are gone, I have gotten color back in my face, I have gained weight, my signature smile is back, and I am walking with confidence.

While I am feeling better, I had no idea that my inward illnesses had so much affect on my outward appearances.

But, Thanks be to God, I am continuously recovering, better every day, and it is evident to people who haven't seen me in almost three months.

I get more excited and confident about my recovery every day.

The light is really starting to shine through me.

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine....
