I am grateful…
-For working long hours because it means I have more money in my pocket.
-For studying and doing a lot of homework because it means I am one step closer to getting my degree.
-For the extra weight my medications have caused me to put on, because it means I am well fed.
-For the enemies who have turned against me and hurt me, because it has shown me how many friends I have who do care, who have stepped up to support me in this battle.
-For parents who push me hard and challenge me to do my best because it means they love me.
-For a sister who complains a lot, especially about doing housework, because it means she is home and not out on the streets.
-For the mistakes I made in my recital last week because it keeps me humble and reminds me I am not perfect.
-For playing in churches with no air conditioning because it gives me a reason to wear sandals and shorts to church. (But I put socks on to play the organ, of course)
-For work to do around the house because it means I have a place to call home over the summer, even living rent-free.
-For an alarm that sounds in the morning and wakes me up, even at early hours, because hearing it means I am alive for another day.
-For laundry to do because it means I have clothes to wear.
-For injuries to my body (fractured foot, nail stuck a few inches into my heal), because it slows me down a bit and forces me to rest.
-For being diagnosed with these illnesses because it has brought me closer to God, strengthened my prayer life and importance of time with God.
Great attitude! :)
ReplyDeleteWhy are socks an 'of course' for playing the organ?
