Okay- my post today is a gigantic list of the blessings I've experienced even while I wait for the results of the test. I'm going to focus on those rather than the list of outcomes.
-Seeing my medical doctor (home one again) and getting a big happy greeting from him.
-Posing as Pierre the Italian waiter for the course of about 8 hours. (At a women's event- about 120 some were in attendance).
-Being told I looked handsome by a large number of women.
-Being complimented many times on my waiter skills
-Making many, many women laugh.
-Sitting after a long night and laughing with many good people.
-Sitting outside reading with a purring cat sitting on my lap
-Being pulled over by the police but not getting a ticket. =)
-Playing for a communion service and receiving the Lord's body and blood.
-Singing pentecost hymns
-A cool summer breeze
-Wind chimes rattling and birds chirping
-Played this morning at my home church (first time in about a month, I've been traveling so much)
-Speaking after the service about joy in ministry
-Then attending another church service celebrating their 125th Lutheran School Celebration
-Beginning to read the book "A Place Called Blessing"
-Dinner at a banquet tonight and seeing CU NE friends!
-Having the university president at our banquet!
-Playing dinner music on the keyboard for the banquet
-A delicious dinner
-Filled with joy for ministry
A challenge for you- can you add one blessing in your life to this list? How about you? (Feel free to post more than one- let's see how much longer we can extend this list- because we are all blessed!)
It is wonderful to reflect on all we're thankful for. When I was going through a hard time a few years ago I put together a similar list and I can remember how much better it made me feel.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your test results are good. I'm praying for you to be healthy.
I'm thankful for my friends here, and for my family. And that I slept for 10 hours last night, and that I'm going to New Zealand soon, and that I went to Kings Park yesterday with some friends, and that our dining hall has coffee, even though it doesn't taste that good. And I'm thankful that God loves the crap out of me, no matter what.
ReplyDeleteI love that you post a list of blessings, I feel that I've missed a lot because of you mentioning a test, anyway I hope it all comes out great.
ReplyDeleteYou are handsome, and if you feel handsome the people that surround you WILL see you handsome, it's funny, happens to me :)
You making women laugh is the best you can do, sometimes all women want is someone to make them smile! :)
I used to be scared of the sound of wind chimes, I got over that fear by putting one in my garden.
I started reading "have a little faith" I think it's the kind of book you would read...
but yeah that was what I was thinking while reading the list. (:
My one blessing would be... the health of my family, maybe I don't get to spend a lot of time with them but I thank God for their good health.
hope you are great! :D
Hahaha- AM- "God loves the crap out of me, no matter what." I love that phrase!!!
ReplyDelete@Ginelle- I totally just ordered that book!!!! I look forward to reading it now!
Joining in a little late - but I love this list - I'm thankful for it, and also I'm thankful right now for beautiful weather in England, yay! :) ... as well as the long list of things I posted the other day too. Yay for blessings :D Thank you for always reminding us to remember them!
