Blessed to Know Who? Me?!

Continuing on with some observations from last night's sermon, the Pastor said something along these lines:

"I've been blessed to be a the bedsides of many members who are dying, and close to death. I've been blessed to visit and associate with many individuals who have illnesses of various kinds.

They've got a different faith than those who aren't knowingly facing death or fighting a battle.

They know what it feels like to carry a big cross, and their faith and their life is changed because of it.

And they are often a blessing to all they encounter. I am blessed to know many of them."

That comment just made me think a lot. How has my life changed since I've picked up this heavy cross, and how have I changed the lives of others?

This is where I value your input. I don't seek praise or adoration, but how have you noticed me changed? Have I influenced your faith life at all? If you don't mind sharing, how?

I would be humbled and honored by any comments.

I am far too tired to write much more, but, TODAY'S RECITAL WAS AMAZING! We had a large crowd, it was a perfect day.

Here are the flowers I got from my family:

  1. I've noticed how confident you've become with yourself in your faith. Your faith throughout everything that you've gone through is something that I and many others can personally look to for hope!:) You've shown people that they're not only not alone but they have the LOVE of the Savior too!

  2. I haven't been on this journey with you right from the beginning (I'm still planning to read your older posts at some point but haven't had time yet!) so I'm not sure how much I can add, but in the time I have known you - yes, your faith has been a great inspiration. Your faith is SO solid and clearly such a huge part of your life, and I love that. I wouldn't wish your experiences on anybody, but I know that through them, you can care so much more for people - that's what bad experiences do to us, right? We grow strength and then we can empathise with others in similar situations. Your emails & comments are a constant source of encouragement & fellowship to me, and I really appreciate them, especially knowing how busy you are!!

  4. It's been a couple weeks since I have kept up with my fave. fellow writers...You are among my list. Your posts have depth, passion, thought, intellect, truth, and hope. I'm at the point in my faith walk where I crave knowledge. I want to be challenged & basically taught. Your posts leave me with motivating questions & I do learn something, in some way.

Now that routine has found it's way back into my life I look forward to catching up with your posts! ;) ~CC
